Clothes that Grow Butterflies
PLANT DYES
Once Upon a Time all of our clothing would have been dyed with naturally sourced dyes.
These days the market is flooded with vibrant chemical colours and prints. In fact the dying process of clothing production is where the vast majority of chemical affluents exist.

Mission
To gradually increase use of organic plant and mineral dyes used within our clothing productions.

To increase the use of lesser-toxicity, low impact dyes within our choices of non-natural dyes.

To promote the importance of these issues to customers and other makers alike.

Impact
From Seed to the water which goes back to the land,
the production journey of plant dyes is one which only enhances bio-diversity and environmental well being.

Imagine fields of marigolds and madder, grown without chemicals, regenerating cycles of insects, butterflies, birds and beyond.

Imagine the waste water from dye actually nourishing the soil ... and all the from our clothing choices
